Disaster Recovery Planning Information on the Web - (Posted by Disaster Recovery on April 13, 2002 at 11:56:22)

I was recently given a brief to identify sources of free disaster recovery planning information on the net - basically web sites that provide knowledge and insight into disaster recovery planning.

I thought it might prove useful if I posted them here. The main ones I identified were:

http://www.yourwindow.to/business-continuity/

This was the best by some margin. It is basically hundreds of pages covering every aspect of disaster recovery planning. Maybe surprisingly, it is free to access (don't tell Microsoft!).

http://www.disasterrecoveryworld.com

This is a broad directory of information and resources. More commercial than the above, but useful nonetheless (at least I hope so, because I worked on it!)

http://www.contingency-planning-disaster-recovery-guide.co.uk

This is a UK site built for small businesses. A sort of noddy version of the window site.

I hope this is helpful.
